Module 1 — Advanced Principles of Constitutional Governance

Students examine constitutionalism, legality, limited government, institutional legitimacy and the principles that structure the exercise of public authority.

Module 2 — Separation of Powers and Institutional Design

Students analyse the distribution of legislative, executive and judicial authority and examine mechanisms designed to prevent concentration or abuse of public power.

Module 3 — Constitutional Rights and Institutional Accountability

Students examine the relationship between constitutional rights, public institutions and accountability mechanisms designed to ensure that government action remains subject to law.

Module 4 — Constitutional Review and Judicial Oversight

Students analyse constitutional review, judicial interpretation and the role of courts in determining whether public action is consistent with applicable constitutional requirements.

Module 5 — Democratic Legitimacy and Constitutional Change

Students examine constitutional amendment, institutional change, democratic legitimacy and the legal safeguards that may govern processes of constitutional transformation.

Module 6 — International Law and Constitutional Governance

Students assess the relationship between domestic constitutional structures and international legal obligations, including questions of implementation, institutional responsibility and accountability.
