Students analyse international mechanisms, institutions and procedures used to address violations and encourage compliance with human rights obligations.
Module 3 — Accountability and State Responsibility
Students examine State responsibility, institutional accountability and processes used to address failures in protecting internationally recognised rights.
Module 4 — Remedies, Compliance and Implementation
Students analyse remedies, implementation measures, follow-up procedures and methods used to assess whether enforcement outcomes are achieved.
Module 5 — Challenges in Human Rights Enforcement
Students examine practical and legal challenges affecting enforcement, including jurisdiction, cooperation, resources and institutional limitations.
Module 6 — Future Developments in Human Rights Enforcement
Students assess emerging approaches, technological developments and evolving systems designed to improve human rights accountability and protection.
